So, what exactly are the
Mad Ferrets?
It is
quite tricky to explain what, on Earth, the 'Mad Ferrets' are all about,
but we'll have a go anyway.
(If you don't care what we are or why we've created this site then
simply click on one of our many pages and see what's there.)
Firstly, this site is the creation of geoffandpaul@madferrets.co.uk(click on about
us to find out more) and for a number of years we were members of a pub quiz team,
who met every Tuesday to usually come second. Other members included Lucy,
Greg and Martin - all of whom now have more important things to do in
life than drink and answer pointless questions.
'THE MAD FERRETS' was the name of our
team and because we liked it so much, we borrowed it for this.
Secondly,
we have both always had a keen interest in computers. (Well before you
jump to any conclusions, our interest has not been in the traditional
computer programmer, nerdy or earning stacks of cash sense of the term,
but more in the playing football games and wasting lots of time on
them!)
Add into
the mix a combination
of having:
-
too
much spare time,
-
a
strong desire to prove that we are actually capable of doing some
"serious stuff" with a computer,
-
and a
slightly misguided self-belief in our abilities to be funny!
What you
end up with is this:
A website which is basically nothing more than a random collection of
sights, thoughts, images, sounds which, we hope, will entertain,
enlighten or simply put a smile on your face.
