Book: Witches Abroad by Terry
Pratchett |
Reviewer: Paul Magrat has become a Fairy Godmother fully armed with a Magic Wand. The only trouble is that it has a tendency to reset to pumpkins. This is a tale of three witches who travel from their home in Lancre to a far away (and more importantly) foreign city of Genua in order to make sure that a servant girl DOES NOT marry the Prince. Fed up with flying they travel over land (and water) leaving a trail of confusion in their wake. It's littered with humorous takes on classic Fairy Tales and is funny from start to finish. My favourite Pratchett book. Oh, and don't mention the thing with the Bulls...... |
