Quite simply the best football game you will ever play! | ![]() |
At the time of it's birth you either went for Fifa Soccer or Actua Soccer and it didn't take us long to realise which was best. Fifa is amazingly playable and I've lost count of the amount of times we've said "WOW!, that's just like a real football move". Yes, it's that good! Every release seems to get better and just when you wonder if it's worth buying the next version, you play it and are stunned by how much better it has got.
The latest offering is Fifa 2001 and it's fully up to date with the latest Premiership teams and players, kits and tactics. It's great to play on your own against the PC or head to head with a mate, but by far the best way to enjoy this game is to play as a team - you can have up to 4 players on the same side! We are currently playing on World Class level (the highest) and have just won the European Cup (so we are a bit smug). It takes a while to master the controls and you really need a Gravis Gamepad Pro to get the most out of it, but it is well worth it to see defenders left in your wake as you execute a perfect skill move before slotting the ball past the oncoming keeper. If you feel like trying it out you can always pick up a copy of a previous version very cheaply. If you do, lower your expectations slightly and get to grips with the gameplay. Then once you're hooked go out and buy the latest version (can get for £19.99) and prepare to be amazed.
